My wedding photography style is primarily documentary which means natural and unobtrusive. I’m not interested in posing people and I won’t ask for fake grins! I have a very hands-off approach to capturing the unique moments, fun and emotion of your day. I’ll also offer some gentle direction in a very natural way for a few creative, high-impact wedding portraits, incorporating beautiful light, colour and scenery.
I’m a Yorkshire wedding photographer that loves the scenery in this area and will happily incorporate rugged sweeping moorlands and dramatic Yorkshire views into my wedding photography.

I grew up in Derbyshire surrounded by the beauty of the Peak District. I later lived and worked in the USA and Sweden (where I met my husband), and eventually found my way back to England and our home in Yorkshire. Along the way, my experiences have shaped how I see the world and how I photograph it, with curiosity, intention, and a genuine love for people, places, and authentic connection.

Yorkshire is a wonderful place to get married. There are so many types of venues to choose from and in so many different settings. From chic city hotels to elegant countryside mansions and rustic barns , there is something for every couple.
I’ve shot quirky weddings at the marvellously eccentric Crab and Lobster, beautifully elegant weddings at The Orangery in Settrington and romantic castle weddings at Ripley and Allerton. Of course there are the luxurious barns such as Wharfedale Grange or perhaps you’d like a marquee wedding in a countryside location with a fabulous view, such as Little Seed Farm. There really are limitless choices.
I must say I do love a wedding with a view and there are plenty of these to be had in North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales with wedding locations like Bolton castle, Danby Castle and venues such as Natural Retreats with beautiful views of the Swale Valley. If you are wedding couple that loves striking scenery then I’ll happily follow you up to a scenic viewpoint for some dramatic couple portraits during your day.
