We may not have had a sunny day for Hayley and Tim’s recent East Riddlesden Hall wedding, but that didn’t dampen anyone spirits! I met Hayley at the couples’ home in Oakworth for the bridal preparations. All the girls were upbeat and having fun getting ready and I don’t think a single person mention the somewhat torrential rain outside. They were looking forward to hitting the road in the London double decker that they’d hired for the day. Just a few doors down the road Tim was also getting ready with his groomsmen and they were soon off to the church to welcome the guests’ arrival.

St Mary’s church in Riddlesden is on the edge of Keighly and very close to East Riddlesden hall. The ceremony went without a hitch and the couple walked out to much applause. Despite the rain and the cold the guests were in great spirits and lined the path with colourful umbrellas, eager to shower the couple with confetti as they left the church.

Once at the hall we had some breaks in the rain and we took the time to do some group shots in front of the barn followed by some couple portraits around the gardens and pond. The hall itself is a stone mansion house and a National Trust property that has a long history from Tudor times to the present day. The reception itself was held in the huge grade II listed barn next to the pond which is a stunning venue with its high ceilings, oak beams and sparkling fairy lights.

There was lovely atmosphere for the wedding breakfast and the speeches went really well. Soon it was time for the cake cutting and dancing and the beautiful lighting inside the barn allowed for some great photographs. We also took advantage of the fairy lights outside to do a few night-time couple shots.

Thanks so much to Hayley and Tim for choosing me as your East Riddlesden Hall wedding photographer. It was a pleasure to photograph your day and meet such a lovely crowd of friends and family. A huge congratulations and all the best for your future lives together.
