We were out in beautiful secluded farming countryside for this recent wedding at Priory cottages near Wetherby. Sarah and David tied the knot at this stunning barn venue where they had exclusive use of a range of cosy cottages, and the renovated barn for the wedding ceremony. Both the bride and groom were getting ready in separate cottages on site, but David of course was on strict instruction not to venture near Sarah cottage before the ceremony! I turned up to meet a lively room full of bridesmaids, flower girls, a couple of gorgeous pet pooches and lots of family mulling about between the two cottages. Both Sarah and David were in great spirits and excited for the day. We also, and very importantly, had fabulous weather!
The ceremony went without a hitch and I particularly enjoyed the fact that this venue allowed for some rather unique confetti shots! Guests were able to shower confetti down onto the bride & groom from a balcony within the barn which created some dramatic images. I also loved the landscape around this venue. We were just at the right time of year for the rape seed oil to be in full bloom and I knew Sarah was hoping this would be the case so she could have some dramatic photographs in the bright yellow fields. The light and conditions were just gorgeous throughout the whole day and we were spoilt for choice with the stunning backdrops. We were even able to pop out later for a few shots in the evening light before the couple hit the dance floor.
This was a lovely relaxed summer wedding with a fabulous atmosphere. A huge congratulations to Sarah and David on such a great day and all the best for your future together. Many thanks to the venue for being so accommodating and to Lucille Moore for doing a great job assisting / second shooting. Suppliers involved in the wedding are listed at the bottom of the post.
